Neeraja (Neera) Setlur

Neera is a Ph.D. student in Environmental Science researching engineered additives for PFAS contaminant removal from aquifers and water conservation in agricultural soils. Her passion for studying water led her to receive a B.S. in Hydrogeology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Upon graduation, she worked for ExxonMobil as a production geoscientist, then made her way back to studying water. Outside of her research, she is passionate about developing her leadership skills and helping others hone theirs. Her pastimes include crafting, dancing, traveling, and enjoying a cup of tea while watching a good show or reading a fantasy novel.
