Rebecca Bland

Rebecca is a PhD student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology where she studies how the bacteria and fungi in the soil interact with invasive plants. She's relatively new to the desert and is pretty thrilled by how wacky and spiky the plants are out here. When she's not growing invasive plants in the greenhouse, Rebecca loves hiking and backpacking, finding fresh water to swim in, and reading fiction.
